4C - A Cool Community for Content Creators

I’ll be starting another series called: The Best Developer Communities for you to join. The debutant community of this series is - 4C. It is a Discord community, specialized for content creators, specifically developers, and designers.

What is 4C?

Like I said 4C is a community for Content Creators. It is specifically focused on developers and designers. It was started in the December of 2020. It is run by Francesco Ciulla and a few other helpers. It is a Discord-based community. It is really active and is close to reaching 1000 members(Hopefully, all of you will join). They also have an open-source website to which you can contribute.

What is so special about 4C?

To be honest, I feel the best thing about 4C are the people over there. They are extremely talented and experienced. They also are really helpful and will help you with any bug/confusion/problem you have. They love to talk about coding events that are coming up or going on. We have talked about events like Hacktoberfest which is going on right now. It provides you with a platform to share and promote your work.

How I found about 4C?

The usual way of finding about 4C would be from Twitter(since they are really active over there) or from their website. Mine wasn’t the usual, standard way. I actually found 4C through GitHub. I noticed that Avneesh had forked their repository and since Hacktoberfest was around, I forked it too. I took a look at their website and joined the Discord community. I also found a few bugs and addons to the website, therefore I also started contributing to it. Right now I have done 2 of my Hacktoberfest contributions to 4C.

4C Website

The 4C Community also has a website that is currently up online but also is in an active development process. I was intrigued by the beautiful design and the good use of colours. The banner was the one that stood out the most. If you are looking for a repository to contribute to for Hacktoberfest and you are comfortable with Next.js and Tailwind.css, then 4C Website is the one that you should contribute to. The project maintainers are super nice and don’t hesitate to give you, your deserved labels and explain to you where to change if your code has conflicts.

4C’s Socials

Francesco posts a lot on his Twitter account about 4C. You can follow him to get all the updates that are happening about 4C. There are various other famous content creators in the 4C Discord Server. There are also a lot of giveaways related to coding courses on the server which you can win too. We have also planned to create an Instagram page for the community. It is also pretty active on Showwcase.

Conclusion

I feel that you should join 4C if you wanna:

  • Wanna meet new, cool and amazing people.

  • Learn a new skill.

  • Get new opportunities.

  • Win in some giveaways.

  • Keep yourself up to date with the newest events.

  • Hacktoberfest.

  • Improve your soft skills.

  • Work on interesting projects.

These are just a few reasons to join the 4C Community and once you join, you'll be able to spot the wins yourself.
